OUR STORY

ScrapMarketplace.com was founded in Ft Lauderdale Florida. Our two co-founders had more than 20 years of diverse global experience with large corporations and as business owners. They felt that traditionally, Surplus Inventory and Scrap trading relied extensively on personal network of buyers and sellers. Scrap industry continues to evolve, as some developing countries shift focus on higher value-add industries and clamp down on polluting industries. We still feel there is enough global demand for safe, responsible ways of buying, selling and processing scrap. Buyers and sellers with limited global outreach were at a disadvantage and not able to benefit from global demand and supply patterns.

In current global and fast evolving business environment, they saw value in combining industry expertise with a global technology platform to help buyers and sellers expand their reach and make scrap trades more competitive. Our interactive, Surplus Inventory and Scrap trading focused, platform combined with large user base help our registered users realize maximum value from their scrap trades while providing confidence and protection from unscrupulous traders.
