There are two types of membership on SCRAP MARKETPLACE. Basic Membership and Trading Membership. Basic Members have the ability to search listings, view listing details, and add listings to their Watch List. Trading Members have full access to the SCRAP MARKETPLACE platform, including creating listings for sale, as well as bidding / buying privileges. We need more information from trading members than we do from Basic Members. You can start with Basic Registration and can provide additional information subsequently to upgrade to Trading Account. ScrapMarketplace.com does not charge any fees for either type of membership currently. ScrapMarketplace.com reserves the right to verify any information provided to us and \ or deny access to any Registered member.

There are no registration or monthly service fees for Basic or Trading accounts. Scrap Marketplace only charges fees from the Seller when a transaction is completed.

In order to become a Trading Member of SCRAP MARKETPLACE we need some additional information (Vs. what we collect for basic membership) about your business and legal entity. We might also verify the personal and company information you provide. As part of the verification process, we might also request industry references.

Yes. You can contact the SCRAP MARKETPLACE Customer Service department and we will make every effort to get your Trading account approved quicker.

In some cases, the SCRAP MARKETPLACE Verification department will require additional information in order to complete the review of a Trading account application. This information may include company registration copies, company licenses, personal Identification, and others.

After you complete your full Registration and your Trading Account is established, please Login and Click on “Post Listing” Button from Home Page. You can enter details of the material \ lot you are trying to sell along with pictures, location, reserve prices etc. Scrap Marketplace will assign an account manager who will review and get in touch with you to activate listing with the all relevant details and start marketing your material to all potential buyers.

Scrap Marketplace offers the functionality to upload up to 5 photos for each listing. After entering Listing details – you will be given the option to load up to 5 images before submitting listing for review and activation

There are no fees to add listings or RFQ’s.

There are some limits on the extent and type of edits or deletions that can be made specially after we have received bids against your listing. Please contact your assigned account manager to request any edits, deletions that might be required and he \ she will be able to provide assistance.

Scrap Marketplace users can use keyword search or use the clickable Categories and Sub Categories towards the left of Scrap Marketplace home page to search for listings \ lots of interest.

Please navigate to the Listing that you like and click on “Place Bid” button to enter your bid.

Some sellers are interested to sell certain scrap lots quickly and prefer to close the transaction with the Buyer who meets their minimum price criteria. Such Listings are generally posted with “Buy Now” option. The Buyer who first meets the “Buy Now” price is given the first preference by the seller to close the transaction. If Buyer who first quoted ‘Buy Now’ price is not able to close the transaction in a timely fashion due to any reason – other Buyers \ Bids are given an opportunity to close the transaction.

Each bid and listing scenario is different. In general, bids cannot be retracted as they compromise the integrity and purpose of the bidding \ assisted same process. In case of genuine mistake, our team might be able to help correct your mistake. Please contact ScrapMarketplace.com for assistance.

While Bid $ value is a big factor, Scrap Marketplace and its Sellers do not always select a Buyer solely on the basis of their bid. They look at multiple factors including Bidders Ratings, Past Transactions, Location, Behavior, Timeliness of Payments, Terms etc. Scrap Marketplace strives to keep all its Bidders notified on the status of their bid and final decision but is not obligated to close the transaction with the highest bidder. Buyers \ Bidders have the option to inspect before they arrange pick up. In some cases, Buyers \ Bidders also have the option to inspect the scrap lot before they bid. Inspection, Returns, Refunds etc. are impacted by the location of the Scrap lot also. Please contact Scrap Marketplace team with specific details and we will do our best to present the most feasible resolution options. Scrap Marketplace is fully committed to solving all issues to the satisfaction of all our esteemed Buyers and Sellers.

In general, each Party is responsible for evaluating tax liability and paying applicable taxes to appropriate authorities. Tax applicability is also impacted by the location of Buyers, Sellers registered offices, applicable res- seller certificates, exemptions and other factors. As tax applicability can vary from transaction to transaction – more specific information can be shared by Scrap Marketplace account manager at the time of the transaction. Scrap Marketplace might be legally obligated to report transaction details to the US Internal Revenue Service and \ or State of Florida in some cases.

Scrap Marketplace account manager assigned to your specific listing will contact you with bid summary, shortlisted bidders and other relevant data. He \ She will collaborate with details and suggested next steps to fully conclude the sale transaction.

Scrap Marketplace does not charge any listing fees or membership fees from any user. Scrap Marketplace only charges Sellers a fee when a transaction is completed to Sellers satisfaction. This fee is applied as a % percent of the value of the transaction. Details of applicable fees are shared and agreed between Seller and Scrap Marketplace before listing goes live for bidding. Scrap Marketplace believes in 100% transparency and does not impose any hidden fees.

Reserve price is the minimum price that the Seller expects. Seller might not sell his \ her scrap lot to any bidder IF the Reserve price is not met.

Each Bidder has the option to revise \ raise their bid but there is a limit on how many times a Bid can be revised. As Scrap Marketplace is based on assisted sale model, and looks at total effective transaction cost – we do not offer all the features of traditional auction platforms. Each high bidder will be notified vie email and on-screen message if they are outbid so they can revise their bids if they like. We encourage all our Bidders to enter justified prices in early stages and not leave too much negotiation margin for Bid closing time.

At this time, Scrap Marketplace only supports transactions in $ US Dollars. There are many currency exchange rate sites which provide updated information about currency exchange rates. Examples include www.x- rates.com www.oanda.com . Scrap Marketplace is not affiliated with any of these sites and cannot take any responsibility for accuracy or errors in the currency exchange rates they provide.
